Dr. Michael D. Wooten grew up in Knoxville and attended West High School. He attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and went to dental school at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, TN. After dental school, he completed a one-year anesthesia fellowship at the University of Florida and a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Wooten is on the medical staff at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Parkwest Medical Center and the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Dr. Wooten is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and he is also a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the Second District Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Association, American Dental Association, Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Wooten enjoys golfing and spending time on Norris Lake with his family. He has been in private practice for over 20 years.
