Dr. Emery did a fantastic job in providing tooth extraction and replacement with a dental implant.  I had been anxious and he relieved my concerns immediately.  He and his team provided a relatively pain-free experience and were available to answer all my questions quickly and professionally.  I was so pleased with them that I took my daughter to Dr. Emery for her wisdom teeth extraction.  We were both surprised at how well her pain had been managed and she never had to use opioids!  If we need oral surgery again, we know where to go!  Thank you, Dr. Emery, Dawn, Amanda, Meghan, Hannah, Wendy, and all the others! Dr. Emery and his staff are so amazing. They really go the extra mile to make you comfortable and Dr. Emery's bedside manner is like none I've ever seen before! He's one of those doctors you hope you don't have to go back to, but will be the ONLY one I do go to if it's ever needed again. My only complaint is that he's not in general dentistry because i wouldn't be so terrified to go to a dentist if it was him. Great guy, great staff, great atmosphere! View On Google +

Popular Procedures

As the gold-standard in restorative dentistry, implants not only fill unsightly gaps in your smile, but support your oral and overall health. Our tooth roots do more than give a tooth a solid foundation: they also stimulate the bone tissue in the jaw. When a tooth is lost, the lack of stimulation causes the underlying bone to begin to deteriorate. As this jawbone atrophy continues, it cause the surrounding teeth to shift. If allowed to go on, this can lead to further tooth loss and an aged appearance due to sunken facial features.

Dental implants act as a substitute for tooth roots, supplying stimulation to the jawbone to effectively stop any further bone loss. Not only do dental implants support your health, they also provide a solid foundation for a custom restoration such as a bridge, crown, or denture.

How Much Do Implants Cost?

Pie chart of factors affecting dental implant costThere are a variety of factors that influence the cost of a dental implant, from the number of posts to the treatment method. At our Knoxville, TN, practice, costs typically range from $4,000 to $4,500 per tooth.

While more costly than traditional bridges, dental implants represent a permanent investment in your oral health. While the restoration may need replacement, the implant itself can last decades with proper care.

Impacted wisdom tooth

It is rare for wisdom teeth to come in without complications. For patients with limited room in their jaw, an erupting wisdom tooth can lead to infection, tooth decay, and teeth shifting. This can cause misalignment, which may undo the results of previous orthodontic treatment. Wisdom teeth that grow in at an angle rather than upright can also physically other teeth and even the jawbone itself.

Third molars generally begin to come in between the ages of 17 and 25. Therefore, in order to avoid complications that may require further treatment, our doctors recommend that wisdom teeth are removed by the time a patient turns 25.

For patients who have suffered from tooth loss for an extended period of time and require the replacement of an entire dental arch, All-on-4 implants offer advantages over traditional restorations. Tooth loss causes bone loss in the jawbone if not treated promptly, which can lead to further tooth loss and a general decline in oral and overall health over time.

Unfortunately, while dental implants can stop further jawbone atrophy, they require a certain level of bone density for a successful placement. The All-on-4 method offers an alternative solution to patients who would otherwise not qualify for treatment. Four strategically placed implants restore the form and function to your smile by providing a solid foundation for an implant-supported denture. All-on-4 implants also help to stop further jawbone atrophy by stimulating the bone tissue.

I have been terribly afraid of dentistry/oral surgery since having a very bad experience several years ago. When I learned that I had to have an implant, I was so anxious. However, I literally just walked out of this procedure, performed by Dr. Emery, and it was unequivocally the best experience I have ever had as far as my teeth. He was kind, patient, and gentle. I didn't need sedation or nitrous oxide. I'm thrilled! View On Google +

Great experience!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Manuel was top notch. He was exceptionally kind and caring. He even called me himself to make sure I was doing okay. I would highly recommend him and his staff. I will definitely be acquiring his services again in the near future. View On Google +
